Go to the Secretary of State website

The first step in performing a Louisiana LLC lookup is to visit the website of the Louisiana Secretary of State. The Secretary of State is the state agency responsible for maintaining business records for all businesses registered in Louisiana.

On the Secretary of State website, you will find a searchable database of all businesses registered in the state. You can search for businesses by name, business ID number, or registered agent. Once you find the listing for the LLC you are interested in, you will be able to view information such as the LLC’s formation date, registered agent, and business activities.

Click on the Business Services Tab

The Secretary of State’s website provides a Business Services Tab where you can look up information on Louisiana businesses. The Business Services Tab is located on the left-hand side of the home page, under the heading “For Businesses.” Once you click on this tab, you will be taken to a new page with a search bar.
