Click on the Business Services Tab

After clicking on the Business Services Tab, scroll down and click on the word Search. This will take you to the Business Entity Search page. You can either search by business name or filing number. If you don’t know the filing number, leave that field blank and enter the business name in the Name field. Make sure to select LLC from the Type drop-down menu. Once you’ve entered the required information, click on Search.

If the LLC is registered in Idaho, the search results will provide the LLC’s registered agent and registered office address.

Idaho Code requires all limited liability companies (LLCs) to register with the Secretary of State and maintain a current registration. The registered agent for an Idaho LLC must be either an individual who resides in Idaho or a business entity authorized to transact business in Idaho. The registered office may be any office location within the state so long as there is someone available during normal business hours to accept service of process on behalf of the LLC.

The easiest way to search for an LLC in Idaho is through the Secretary of State’s website. To access the search function, go to https://www.accessidaho.org/public/sos/corp/. From the main page, select “Limited Liability Companies” from the drop-down menu under “I Want To…” in the middle of the page. On the next page, select “Search For An LLC” from the drop-down menu under “I Want To…” on the right side of the page.

You will be taken to a search page where you can enter either the LLC’s name or ID number. If you do not know the LLC’s ID number, you can leave that field blank and enter only the name. If you are unsure of the spelling, you can use wildcard characters (*) to fill in any unknown letters. For example, if you want to search for “ABC Company, LLC” but are unsure of how it might be abbreviated in the Secretary of State’s database, you could enter “ABC*LLC” as your search term.
